Correct me I am wrong here:
AP allows you to enter US without a valid visa.
EAD allows you to work in US for any employer.
Untill and unless someone utlizes his EAD, he is still on H1 (if he has valid H1) doesn't matter he enters US using AP. Am I correct?
Then question arrises, If H1 holder changes his job then he needs to transfer his H1 only and not use EAD. Is this possible to have H1 renewed and transfered even though one has EAD approved, meaning is it compulsory to use EAD one you get it?

My employer was planning on sponsoring me, and paying all the filing fees, but the deal was that I was going to pay the lawyer directly for the legal fees. I just found out from a second lawyer that technically we can't do that because it will drop my salary below the prevailing wage. Is there anything I can do to get around this, and still pay the legal fees? Is it completely against the law for me to pay them or is that just an "interpretation of the law"? The other possibility is my husband could pay the fees, but I don't know if that's allowed either.
Let me know if you have any advice - we have to have everything signed by this Friday.

Pew confirms what we've already assumed is happening. The number of illegally present immigrants has dropped 8% since 2007. The number is now about 11 million, down from peaking at 12 million. I recently got 3 year extension on H1B. I am currently in 8th year of H1B extension. All previous stamping were done in India, I have following question regarding the Visa stamping in Toronto-
Can I get my stamping done in US consulate in Toronto.
Where (Link) to take an appointment for stamping.
List of the documents required.
Anyone who has done it before, Please help

in 2007 for the same job and same location as I am right now at
Level 3 was 57000.00, Now in 2010 it is 76000.
I talked to my Employer about this, he says he cannot raise my salary that much.
My Question is
1. When I applied for Foreign Labor Cert On-line does the
Prevailing Wage has to be most recent even in case of H-1B Extension ?
2. Is is ok If I go to Level-2 Instead of Level-3, will it considered as
change in Employment ?
3. The Prevailing Wage for 2008 for the same job and same location
as I am right now at is 66000. Should I Try to Apply for labor
cert referencing 2008 Prevailing Wage. ?
4. What are my options ?

What will be the status of pending H1B extension case if EAD/AP is used on reentry to US. If the case is approved after rentry, is it possible to change status to H1?
