but as far as the AD is concerned, an AD is for a position not for a person, if 1 AD satisfy the skill set and available position then one AD can work for multiple positions.

I heard that there was a deadline to send 45 day letter before end of June this year. And I have seen 45 day letters coming to my friends and me.
Question is: Is there any deadline for them to complete processing all cases???
Another concern. When they are done processing all 350K cases, think of retrogression!

Each year, the U.S. government makes 65,000 H-1B visas available to qualified individuals on a first-come basis. The cap has been reached every year for the last several years, and for fiscal year 2008, it was reached on the first day of filing. As of July 10, 2009, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) had received 44,900 H-1B cap-subject petitions that have been counted towards the 65,000 H-1B cap. USCIS continues to accept cap-subject petitions.

Hi,
I am working for a company who filed for my GC.
I-140 approved 18 months back
I-485 "applied and pending" 12 months back
EAD in hand from about 10 months.
If I move to a company with the exact same job description,
a) Whom do I need to inform, with regards to , AC21 portability clause
b) Who will check if the job is in the exact (same/similar) field
c)Possibility that there will be RFE after I-485?
d)What if the GC sponsoring company is not helpful after I move to a different company. How is this going to affect?
I need to weigh in the costs associated with countering a RFE and the increased salary due to job change.
Let me know your opinion.

I am filing 1-140 and 1-485 together by myself based upn EB-2 ( national interest waiver ) category.
Would any one of you please tell me what I should check Part 2 where it ask " I am applying fr adjustment f permanent status based upon"-- If I choose 2(a), then it ask for copy of approval notice.
Any body has any comments.

what are the security checks involved with the green card process, and when do they come up?
up sometimes during 140 stage(security). But 100% during 485 stage.
The check I know is called "Name Check" done at 485 stage.

I know a friend who has done Bachelors in Computer Application in india. She is now in US and wanted to know the options for working or studying in US.
Is she eligible to take up MS degree..???

I understand that the July VB is reinstated until Aug 17 for new applications for AOS. What happens to AOS applicants of the past? Does this means that the visa numbers are available for restarting processing of those old applications?
Or this reinstatement is restricted only for filing new applications (to abide by INA)? If latter is the case, and earlier option is not viable due to unavailability of visa numbers, then the "current" status (until Aug 17) is not really current, isn't it? Am I understanding this situation correctly?

hey everyone I was trying to download the swift 3d because a pparently it sweems like a cool one but the download trial wasn't accuriable anyway I looged into the net store and checked the full program, it costs about 159$ so I guess I want to download the trial first to give it a try before spending that much amount of money so if any of you know where to donwlaod it just plz post me a message with the title"FOund what you wanted" on your subjectt space.=)

Guys, we should have more rallies like the SJ one in bay area.. the next target can be San Francisco - Civic Center.
There are many official bulidings like City Hall here and we will definitely get heard again.
I always suggested for this type of gathering on roads so as to get heard. THIS WAS A JOB WELL DONE by people who attended and organized.
Finally to gsc and others, save banners and material from the the SJ rally so that we dont have to start from scrach.
For the people who didnt make it, please attend the next one no matter what.
