If a person travels on AP, he will get a new PAROLE I-94 which shows expiry date of 1 year from the day he entered on AP. Can the person stay in US AFTER that expiry date and continue working using a valid I-797?

I applied for I-485, I-140,and EAD almost 2 months ago..The package was received by USCIS but no receipts yet, no checks are cashed yet...We called and they said it may take 3 months to issue receipts...what should I expect?Receipts and approval of EAD in a month given that they usually honor the 3 months period to approve EAD?or nothing is guaranteed!!

I hate to start another thread, but judging by the number of separate threads on I-485 interviews, I thought if it makes better sense to have a common pool where we can ask questions and share experiences on these (supposedly) tense faceoffs. Our lawyers often charge a fat fee to babysit us at these interviews (I'll have to shell out $1000+travel costs for each such trip of my lawyer, a decent bloke otherwise). So it will be nice to know a little bit about these meetings (documents they ask you to bring along, questions they ask, how they behave etc.), that is, if we really need such expensive nannying, or can handle them by ourselves. So, please add your question/experience.

I recently got an RFE for my I 485 Application.
Need to prove my non-immigration status from Nov 29 2007 to Nov 24 2008 .
I have I-797 ( H1-B approval ) for the above mentioned period. But My Last Name in the approval has a typo error ( in place of letter A they misstyped U). My Enployer has opened a Service request to correct the Name in H1 B approval. But he is saying that he never got the corrected approval. Time went by and i applied for H1 ext..i got the H1 extension from Nov 25 2008 to Nov 2011.
So My question is
Is it okay to submit all the documention that was sent to USCIS to correct the name along with the I 797,I-94 for the above mentioned period and explain them that we did not recieved the corrected I-797 ? or not
Please suggest me ..

how can we monitor the process (the processing dates then become irrelevant)...

I have not filled for some of my address changes with the AR-11 forms, i was not aware of this. But in the G-325 it is asked for all the address in the past 5 years.
Will this create any problem. How should we correct this. Anybody has idea.

My sister filed 1-130 for me in 1997. I am currently living in the US on an H1B visa and the I-130 has been approved. As requested by the NVC, my sister submitted her affidavit of support (I-864) and paid the immigrant visa fee. However, I recently found out that I should have filed I-485 instead. I was advised that I cannot file the DS-230 because I live in the US. Is this true? Which could/should I do, DS-230 or I-485? Is there a way to get the immigrant visa fee returned?

Is my birth certificate needed to invite my parents on visitor visa? Isn't my SSC certificate showing date of birth and both parents name enough?
Birth certifcate is a good document to prove the genuineness of the ties with people you claim to be your parents and whom you are trying to get here.
Its good to show it if you have it. If you are afraid of sending the Original send a US notarised copy.
The intention of the document is to only prove your ties with your parents.
If you do not have one or do not wish to furnish one, you can still try.
